Some friends of ours had won some tickets to attend the New Years Eve City View event, they weren't able to make it because of having to be out of town, so they gave us the tickets. Very cool of them. :)
The event included "Premium H'ors d'oeuvres", live Jazz band, live DJ, and open bar.
We were required to dress up in evening cocktail wear. There's not many events that require you to get all fancied up; so that was a lot of fun!
City View is located at the very top of the Bank of the James in downtown Lynchburg. It was neat getting to look out over the city.
The only thing that would have made the evening perfect would have been having friends and family there. It was a little awkward not knowing everyone, and it seemed like everyone else knew each other.
We made it fun though, we talked to some people, ate, drank, danced and kissed when the ball dropped. It made for a great New Years Eve.
I'm excited to see what this New year will bring.
