Run For Their Lives

{ Freedom 4/24 }
...why we ran.

Our church put on a race called: Run For Their Lives in order to support an incredible
cause called Freedom 4/24 {http://www.freedom424.org/}
Today Kevin, myself, and 8OO other people Ran for their lives.
We ran for women in Thailand
who are victims to sex slavery and prostitution.
__________
Kevin and I both ran the 10k {6.2 miles}
This was our first race!
Kevin came in at about 50mins
I came in at about an 1hr/10min.
My goal was to not walk. Goal achieved!
At around the 4th mile I experienced some big time cramps,
 they covered my whole stomach,
but I was determined to not stop.
Thankfully, by keeping a steady pace the cramps eventually eased up.
I was running for Tidarat & Catchada. {written on my arms}
These are just 2 women out of many who need our prayers and support.
I'm so thankful I got to run with my friend Chrystal. We encouraged each other a lot.
I think the most moving part of the race was when Chrystal and I started
praying out loud for the girls written on our arms.
We also prayed for the team that will be going to Thailand this winter.
It was amazing to know we were fighting
for the lives of many whom we've never seen,
and whom have never know what it's like to live a life apart from slavery.
___
Kevin took all the pictures today {other than the ones of himself}
{ wake up Sweety! We've got to go run!! 6am }

Can't wait to run again.
Praying lives were changed every step we ran.
______
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
