THREE

Photobucket

***
ONE I secretly wish I was the Tattoo "type" {not trying to stereotype}...
...I just can't bring myself to do it.
Also wish I could have a lot of piercings again. I used to have my tongue, belly button, and my Monroe. I really want the Monroe done again, and possibly the nose so I can wear a cute hoop.
TWO Kevin & I strongly desire to adopt, but I fear I am not capable to love them enough.
THREE I am only a Sophomore in College &
I struggle daily to not look at myself as a failure, because of this.
Sometimes I just don't believe I will ever finish school,
& fear I will always find my self-worth in that. Though I know
clearly I need to be finding my worth in God.

Sorry some of these are negatives - Just being real - Life isn't always Butterflies.
But thank goodness I serve a God who DOES give me hope, and who
does promise to carry my burdens.
So today, I lift these things to you LORD.
YOU lead the way.

Psalms 25:5“Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.”

Hebrews 13:8“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”***

  1. Just keep going with the schooling and you will eventually accomplish your goals!! Sometimes it takes longer than expected, but that doesn't mean you are in any way a failure!! Don't subscribe to the idea that you need a degree in x amount of time by your x birthday/age. Life just doesn't work that way!! :)

I am not the tattoo type either, but I have two! I remember watching the artist start my first one and a wave of sickness wash over me... I didn't think I was going to be happy with it, but I so love it!! My second one is hidden and is never seen, and the first one usually goes unnoticed. It's so funny when people see it and are shocked. :)

Hope you're having a great Tues!

  2. Aww, trust me, once you take a look at the child your adopting, you'll be too in love to worry about your inadequacies.
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! :)

  4. I love the look of tattoos on others...but can't get myself to commit to something that would be on my body forever. I feel you!

I think if you two are meant to adopt that you would be amazed by the amount of love you are capable of. BUT, even though it is on your heart, it might not be the right time to do it...so that may be the reason for your doubts. I felt that way when James and I looked into fostering-- it just wasn't in our cards and now I know why. :)

Failing at what?! You are living life. Don't let the status quo make you feel bad. What is that saying... Life is a journey, not a destination. Seriously, because when you are done with school...there will just be one more thing to accomplish. ENJOY this time now.

xoxo. Nice honesty. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Thanks for stopping!! :-) I also love your blog! Don't worry, you will get through school and it will mean even more to you than some people who finish right away. If god brought you to it, He will get you through it! :-)
