Florida Trip - Part 1

I'm finally getting around to posting some of our Florida pictures!

Since we were there for a week- I bet you can only imagine how camera CRAZY I went! I have SO stinking many! Too many to post all at once, so I am going to post them in "Parts". Not sure how many that will take, but I'm hoping not too many {hey it gives me something to blog!} I need to get the FL stuff up though, because too many things have taken place since we've been back, and I want to blog those too, but I don't like blogging things out of order.. anyone else feel that way?

DAY 1

DAY 2

Kevin and I got the privilege to hang out with our good friend Brain Richards.
We met Brian when we were studying at Elim Bible Inst. Kevin and Brian are great friends and are quite the characters when they get together- they get into mischief and have tons of fun goofing off. It was so much fun to get to see Brian throughout the week.
Kevin and Brian were both groomsmen in our friend Aaron's wedding that week. Good times.

And of course Starbuck Again - I can't help myself!
Kevin was generous and let me get Ducks almost everyday we were on vacation!

So, one of the houses we ended up staying at in St. Pete was very... um, interesting. It was the home of some old folks who were living up north for the summer. The house had some strange things in it, but it made for some neat camera shots (pics of strange things to come in later post).

Day 1 - Day 2 Complete!

Anniversary Gift + Date = Love.

This year was our 2 year wedding anniversary & since we were leaving for Florida 1 week after our anniversary we decided to not do our anniversary date/celebration until we were in FL. Well of course Kevin went above & beyond and surprised me ON our anniversary {June 9th} - 

First surprise was that he came home on his lunch break and cleaned the WHOLE house- that included all surface areas, floors swept & mopped, bed made bathroom cleaned and up stairs vacuumed all in ONE HOUR! WOW. But that wasn't it, he also surprised me with a case of Starbucks DoubleShots {which ALWAYS wins my heart}, Mike & Ike's, and this HUGE Canvas I have been drooling & day dreaming over for awhile now. It's neat though, because the traditional gift for 2 years of marriage is suppose to be something Cotton, well Kevin researched and realized the canvas was Cotton! It was perfect!

After Dinner we decided to go to the pier in St. Petersburg in hopes of enjoying the stars and the site. Well as soon as stepped out of the car and shut the door, SMASH!! I slammed my finger in the car door! :( It HURT SO BAD! I don't think I have ever slammed my finger in the car door like that before. As I am posting this it has been 2 weeks since I slammed it and my nail is still bruised! Thankfully though I did not lose my finger nail. 

Kevin snapped a picture of me right after it happened - I look pretty pathetic, but it HURT!
