Ralph Lauren has some cool paint that I am going to try as a top coat...i'll let you know how it goes! I am really proud of him, because he isn't taking it lightly. Here is what he said about the whole thing -
"Dunks, I want you to know I take this VERY seriously. I also want you to know that this will be an easy bike to sell. I guarantee that. I will be careful, and I will also be trying to assess how I feel on it – if it feels safe or if I honestly don’t think I can handle it. I take it seriously, I take you seriously, and I take my responsibility to BE THERE as your husband seriously.
I at least want to try it. If it doesn’t work, I’ll probably want to buy a little car and just get it insured the minimum so I can drive too. I’m looking forward to us both having transportation…"

I respect his opinion and I trust what he says, so I am taking this chance. :) I think it will be OK.
So, that's the update on that. We'll see how it goes. :)

-Mel-Melanie Van Wynsberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13708761826135923972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8041385685872649400.post-90949321506265745352008-07-30T07:36:00.000-07:002008-07-30T07:36:00.000-07:00Hi Melanie! Thanks for the comment on our blog. Tim talks about wanting a motorcycle too (I think all boys/men have a need to go through that phase). Lucky for me we have no money, so no motorcycle... Good luck!Cody Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00867042921409059426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8041385685872649400.post-78455339659097953582008-07-29T20:19:00.000-07:002008-07-29T20:19:00.000-07:00Here's my opinion, for what it's worth.I don't say...Here's my opinion, for what it's worth.

I don't say "no" to Matt when he really wants something, unless it's for a very good reason. I would absolutely say "NO" if Matt wanted a motorcycle. All it takes is your tire hitting a damp yellow line on the road, and you can lose control. It's much, much easier to lose control with them, and the accidents are much more likely to be fatal. You've got nothing to protect yourself with if something happens. I would worry about him every time he left, and that's just too great of a price.

Also, given Kevin's track record with cars and accidents, I would be even more nervous about him on a motorcycle.

Since you're not comfortable with it, you owe it to the both of you to talk to him about it. Make it clear to him that you're not trying to take away his dream, but that this really makes you uncomfortable. On something like this, don't step aside just to be the "cool" wife.

God gave women intuitions for a reason. If you think something might happen to him on a motorcycle, you might just be right.Sarah Skihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11170214484524101536noreply@blogger.com
